Computer viruses can cause a lot of damage to your computer. They normally hide themselves in your computer and then begin to multiply them selves and spread in your system. They damage your files and if you find out too late, they will damage your computer. In case the computer is in a network, then the virus may affect the network as well.

These viruses are malicious programs designed by people whose main plan is to course havoc. These are very intelligent people who could have used their intelligence to do something profitable to society but choose to manufacture these virus programs. They design it very intelligently so that they hide in your system and it may take some time for you to realise that they are there. Some come as the Trojan horse, others are email virus which when you open that email, it infects your system; there is also the macro virus and other ones.

The way to deal with viruses is to have a protective program on your computer to deal with any virus attack. These are called antivirus which do scan your system and serve as guard soldiers any time you go on the internet. They protect your system from being hacked and stop others from stealing data from your system. So every individual or corporate organisation with computers needs this antivirus to protect its data. Anti viruses are software that can be bought on cds or simply downloaded.
